Evocation: the act of bringing or recalling a feeling, memory, or image to the conscious mind. Evocation is about the time the brain has left to function after death. Once a person dies their brain still has seven minutes of brain activity left, during this seven you replay through all of your memories during your life. My dance represents these memories after ones passing.

She enjoys playing flute in her high school band class, writing and using her free time to hang out with her family and friends. Lydia’s favorite style of dance is tap, because it involves more than one sense for the audience.
Her first idea for the piece came from common movie tropes and themes, however when talking with her mentor, Alexandria Nunweiler, she decided to change her piece’s theme to different types of relationships. Her title, Formel Forskel, means formulaic difference in Danish; this title shows how a person’s personality will make all of their relationships similar in ways, but the dynamics of each person make them unique. The sing-song pronunciation of the title is in direct contrast with the short beats made by tap shoes.
