The Equinox Dance Festival is a one of a kind contemporary dance festival hosted at the Dance Theatre of Greenville & the Younts Center for the Performing Arts. It features open level master classes and a student choreography showcase.
About the classes...
Master classes are open to all intermediate / advanced dancers ages 11+. We are excited to bring professional artists to the Dance Theatre of Greenville teaching classes in multiple styles including musical theater, contemporary, and ballet among others. Registration will open soon and features half day (1 class) and full day options (2 or more classes). Meet our guest artists below!
About the student choreography showcase...
The showcase features new works by DTG company members ages 15+ who apply and participate in the performance company choreography program where they learn to create, write about, and present contemporary dance. The choreographers have 8 weeks to bring their visions to life on the Equinox stage. Meet our student choreographers below!

Born in Myrtle Beach, SC, Anson Zwingelberg began dance training at Coastal Dance Centre. He later studied at South Carolina Governor’s School and received a BFA from The Juilliard School in 2017. After dancing with Charlotte Ballet for 3 seasons Anson returned to New York to work in creation with ZviDance and as a company member with New York Theatre Ballet. One of Anson’s most treasured performances was dancing in Night of 100 Solos for the celebration of Merce Cunningham’s 100th birthday in 2019.
Reese Bryant is a pre-professional dancer and choreographer. She likes dancing in the styles modern and jazz. She has spent 14 years dancing at Dance Theatre of Greenville. Reese has been apart of DTG’s Performance Company since 2017. She has taken part of the student choreography offered at DTG for the past two years. Her pieces have been performed at the Equinox Dance Festivals in 2021 and 2022 and also Artisphere in 2023. She has worked with incredible choreographers like Tabatha Robinson, Kristin Wagner, Amanda Ling, and others through the DTG Performance Company. She is also currently on her high school dance team, the Mauldin Mavettes.
Courtney Chisam was born in Huntsville, Alabama, but raised here in Greenville, South Carolina. She is a senior at Hillcrest High School. She has been dancing for fourteen years and has been a part of the DTG Performance Company since she was eight years old. Throughout her time at DTG, Courtney has had the opportunity to work with numerous guest artists from all across the United States. Courtney’s most recent performances were Continuum, Artisphere, Blackbox, and the Equinox Dance Festival.Courtney enjoys all styles of dance, but contemporary has always been her favorite. Courtney loves to have a good time and be active.
Haylee Guilliams was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina. She has been dancing since the age of three and is going into her senior year at Hillcrest High School. While at Dance Theater of Greenville Haylee was part of the competition team and as been with the performance company since the establishment in 2015 getting the chance to dance in many theaters and places: Downtown Disney, Younts Center, Gunther Theater, and Greenville’s Artisphere. Since being with the performance company she has worked with many guest artist such as Tabatha Robinson, Amanda Ling, Nikki Lee, and Jedidiah Taylor. She has also been in many of her peers student choreographed pieces and created a piece of her own named “Evocation” which was performed in the Younts Center. She enjoys all styles of dance and getting to explore new styles but her favorite style is modern. Haylee is part of the yearbook staff at Hillcrest, which has given her the opportunity of being Managing Editor in Chief for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year!
Corinne Hoeft is a senior at Mauldin High School and has been dancing for fifteen years. At Mauldin High School, she is a co-captain of the Mauldin Mavettes dance team. Corinne enjoys all styles of dance but her favorites are contemporary and jazz. She has performed with the Dance Theatre of Greenville company for seven years. Her work has been seen on the Peace Center Gunter Theatre stage in the spring of 2021 and 2022 with the Dance Theatre of Greenville Company. Furthermore, she strives to gain new dance knowledge and experience by traveling outside of her home studio. She attended the Broadway Dance Center summer intensive in New York City during the summer of 2019 where she trained with educators such as Eric Campros and Cat Coliandro. Additionally, in the summer of 2023 she attended the CLI Conservatory summer intensive where she learned from choreographers such as Teddy Forance, Molly Long, Jason Williams, and Kenichi Kasamatsu.
Lydia Worthy is a seventeen-year-old dancer who has been part of Dance Theatre of Greenville’s (DTG) Performance Company since 2015 performing in shows such as Themis, X and Mind’s Eye in works by choreographers such as Amanda Ling, Ashlea Sovetts and Tabatha Robinson-Scott. She has been a teacher’s assistant at DTG for the past year and had her two works, “Life in Progress” and “Formel Forskel,” featured in the Equinox Dance Festival showcase. Lydia enjoys reading, hiking the Appalachian mountains and binging Netflix. Lydia plans to study elementary education after graduating from Mauldin High School in the spring of 2024.
